Data Protection Role
We are registered with the Information Commissioner as a Data Controller under reference ZA185904.
For the purpose of outlining our responsibilities under GDPR 2018 the majority of work which we receive is issued directly to us from our client base who are classed as the ‘Data Controller’. We do not currently accept instructions from customers directly and therefore our role is to act predominantly a ‘Data Processor’ (which refers to any person who processes data on behalf of the ‘Data Controller’).
Information We May Collect From You Or About You
We may receive information about you by doing any of the following:
When you log a claim or instruction with one of our clients.
When you complete an enquiry form on evolutionclaims.com.
When you use our website (we do not store cookies however third parties such as Google Analytics and linkedin do over which we have no control).
When you write, call, email or text to ask for or provide information about a claim.
Information Storage & Retention
The Data we process is stored securely within the UK on our IT operating platform. The data will only be retained in accordance with United Kingdom law and for as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was collected.
Access To Personal Information
You are entitled by law to access the information we hold about you. Our Subject Access request procedure is captured in further detail in our ‘Data Protection Policy’. We recommend logging your request with the Data Controller in the first instance. This document will be reviewed periodically, but no less than every six months, by the ECM Security Committee, and updated as necessary to reflect changes in policy or process.
